What we collect

When you join, we save your email, interest, budget, optional country and notes, and the time and version of your consent. If you choose to upload a .dress file, we save that file, its original name and size. We do not ask for measurements, your postal address or payment details.

Maker signups also include your studio name, portfolio or shop link, specialties and any message you send. We use these to understand your work and contact you about working together. We won’t publish your profile without your permission.

What we use it for

Sewn to Life uses submissions to assess interest, research designs, and contact you about the beta or your submission. If you permit design review, we may open your file in Dressmaker to study or capture private reference views. We do not publish designs, sell email addresses, or share your submission with dressmakers without further permission.

Storage and security

The live service uses Turso for signup records and private Vercel Blob storage for files. Vercel BotID helps distinguish automated requests from people and processes technical browser information for that check. We store a short-lived keyed hash of the request address to limit spam, rather than the address itself. Hosting and verification providers may keep their own technical logs.

Local development stores test submissions on the developer’s computer. Local preview is labeled separately. Uploaded files are stored as data, not executed. No online dress viewer is available yet.

Retention and deletion

Submissions are scheduled for deletion after 180 days. To stop emails, enter your signup email on our unsubscribe page. We record this preference on your signup. If you sign up again and give us permission to email you, you’ll rejoin the list. Unsubscribing does not delete your private design files.

The private management link shown after signup lets you delete the full submission and uploaded file. Anyone with that link can delete the submission, so keep it private if you want to retain access. This prelaunch version cannot recover a lost management link by email.

External services

Learn more from Vercel, Turso. We use Vercel Web Analytics on the live site to measure visits and traffic sources without analytics cookies. We exclude the private signup-management page and remove URL query strings and fragments from pageview events. We don’t send your email, answers or design files to analytics. No advertising trackers are added by this app.
